Roach – moved up in weight to challenge Davis – thanked his team, father, coaches and those in camp with him – including Robert Diaz and Garry Jonas: “Come March 1.”We are ready to kick ass,” Roach said.
Davis, who had to stop himself from thanking Showtime and instead thank the Amazon Prime anchor, also saluted those who were part of the team and praised Roach as a “great fighter.”
“We’re in D.C., right? That’s cool,” Davis said.
“DC vs. Baltimore comes March 1st.It’s always been a rivalry, not with me, but it’s always been a rivalry between DC and Baltimore. To me, I’ve always felt like DC is home. I have to go through DC to compete at regionals or nationals. So I had to overcome these people. So they became my homeboys and such crazy people. Now we’re all family. But come March 1st.It will definitely be a good show.”
