Keyshawn Davis stalking Gervonta Davis?

A shrill-sounding Keyshawn Davis posted a long, rambling video call today aimed at Gervonta Davis, saying he wanted to fight. Keyshawn (11-0, 7 KOs) begged Baltimore native Tank Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) to “send me the contract,” but then, in the next breath, said, “I don’t need you “.

It sounded like crazy double talkand what made it worse was Keyshawn who looked almost in tears. You can tell by how emotional he was in his call to Tank that he really wants that fight, but as he constantly says it, it almost rings true. he is obsessed. It’s when it’s just an occasional call, but when you hear it in any interview, it sets off stalker alarm bells.

Since last Friday, Keyshawn has often mentioned his victory over his hand-picked opponent, Gustavo Lemossaying that his victory over Argentina be remembered for the next ten years. I can’t determine if he was serious or joking, saying something stupid to get attention. Keyshawn is going about it the wrong way with his tactic of banging tomato cans, trying to make them sound like gold, and then taking out Tank right after.

Beating Lemos is not even a starting point to get a lucrative, life-changing money fight against King Tank. It’s really going backwards. To start building to have the opportunity to meet at his height, Tank, Keyshawn needs to run-fighter Andersonville-esque gauntlet below without getting lost on the way.

It would make more sense for Keyshawn to ask for a fight against Tank if he defeated him The Big Four: :

  1. Andy Cruz
  2. Raymond Muratalla
  3. Edwin Delos Santos
  4. Abdullah Mason

Lemos was comes from a loss to Richardson Hitchins, and his only notable win on his resume came against 35-year-old Lee Selby. His resume is completely void of wins over unbeaten fighters, and he looked poor in his loss to Hitchins on April 6. Watching the Hitchins-Lemos fight, it becomes immediately clear why Keyshawn chose Lemos.

Keyshawn asks the tank to send the contract

“Tell the fair skin (Gervonta Davis) to get out of his feelings and send me a contract. That’s right,” said Keyshawn Davis social mediasaying he wants Gervonta Davis to send him a contract so he can fight after beating handpicked Gustavo Lemos last Friday night in Norfolk.

Keyshawn has been waiting for the contract to be sent by Tank Davis for a long time. If he wants to gain a following in the sport, he needs to stop using Tank’s name for influence and encourage Top Rank to compete with good fighters instead of what they have been doing. Lemos, Miguel Madueno, Jose Pedraza and Nahir Albright are top level fighters.

“I don’t need him, but I want to fight this man, though. This has nothing to do with being tough,” Keyshawn said. “This has nothing to do with me showing myself. I want to fight him straight up like that, because he has cheated the boxing game for too long.

The 25-year-old Keyshawn could do himself a big favor if he fought his old nemesis Andy Cruz of Cuba from his amateur days and showed the boxing world that he could beat his four-time conqueror. Cruz had Keyshawn’s number, and it looked good if he chose to fight. Even if Keyshawn goes back to school, fans will respect his bravery.

The businessman wants to be doubted

“Makes (stuff) look good. Makes (stuff) look better than it is. Take what?” said Keyshawn of Tank Davis. “What kind of resume did he have? He doesn’t have a resume, man. He had fighters that we knew he was going to win. I’m not trying to hear any of that.”

No one disputes that Tank Davis has a great resume, but he is still popular because he puts on exciting shows. Don’t pick soft opposition coming off losses like Keyshawn did with Lemos and Jose Pedraza.

“I need the whole world to be against me in that fight so I can show everybody how great I really am,” Keyshawn said. “I don’t need anybody for me for that fight. I’m going to be a superstar next year, fighting or not. The only reason it won’t happen is because he doesn’t want it to happen.”

There is no chance that Keyshawn will ever be a superstar with the way his career is going. For one, it was moved in the same way Edgar Berlanga was when he was with Top Rank, fighting exclusively tomato cans to make him look better than him.

You don’t create superstars facing off against milk like Keyshawn was faced with. If Keyshawn is lucky, he can be a fake star in the Milli Vanilli mold and then look to get a Berlanga-esque cash-out.

“I’m going to do it for him. No Diddy. What happened at the Scope Arena in Virginia will be remembered for at least the next ten years,” said Davis.
