Featherweight Omar Trinidad fights 12 rounds for the first time as a professional. by winning a unanimous decision over Hector Sosa in the main event of “Hollywood Fight Nights” on Saturday at Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

The judges scored it 118-109, 119-108 and 119-108, all in favor of Trinidad.

Trinidad’s victory snapped his four-fight knockout streak. But he noted after the fight that he was aiming to show he could go far.

“I had fun for 12 rounds,” Trinidad said. “I want an elite (fighter) next year.”

In the opening round, Trinidad 17-0-1 (13 KO) of Boyle Heights, California, by knockout, while Sosa 7-3 (9 KO) of Junin Buenos Aires, Argentina, by knockout.
