The fight is only a few hours away, Jennifer Serves BRAND To comment on your current state of form.

askHow are you feeling about this Sunday’s fight?

Answer intelligent I managed to complete the preparation. I felt better physically and mentally because I didn’t stop from my previous fight and that was key. I went to camp in Las Vegas, where after a month I returned to Spain to finish the preparation with my team. I feel perfect.

Q. And weight loss?

R. I told my team today. It was the best time for me because it cost me nothing to reach a certain weight. I’ve been training very well for a long time and eating healthy and well without straining myself. Everything looks perfect, I feel great right now.

Q. What role has your time played in gyms in the United States lately?

R. Since I’ve added trips there to my training, I’m a more complete boxer. In the end, one always has a very defined boxing style. By going there, I was able to complete another form of boxing and I had more opportunities when it came time to fight. Furthermore, the quality of sparring in the United States is high because there are world champions there. This is very noticeable when it comes to improving. However, I would never do a camp specifically in the United States, because I have in Spain as well and learn other things with my team that I wouldn’t have a chance to do there. I can complete both trainings very well with my coach.

Two years ago I was about to retire and thought I would never get the chance.

Q. How long have you been waiting for this title fight?

R. A long time, and many years. In fact, time doesn’t matter anymore. Two years ago I was about to retire and thought I would never get the chance. Getting to this level is very difficult because there is very little support, and only a few people make it, but I have always fought for it. Training, working for 10 hours for years… I can’t take it anymore, it’s time to think that my body can’t take it anymore.

As I’m so close to retirement, I didn’t expect the sponsors to come and I’m very happy with everything that happened this year. It’s everything for me to see the evolution I have at this point and to be able to complete my training in the United States alongside the best. Being named an ambassador for the WBA and taking part in a Canelo fight is a dream come true. I have already fulfilled. I can be happy now. Being like this now since I was a girl, I feel complete. However, I will continue to the end.

Q. At what point in your career does this fight come?

R. It comes when I’m fitter and stronger than ever. I’m improving a lot, I’m very happy with my team, with my coaches, with my manager… I wanted to remember them because you don’t come alone. There is a before and after of choosing my team because it allows you to go professional. A boxer needs to feel safe with people around him, that’s my case. This fight comes at the right time for me.

This is an important struggle because of how and where it happens.

Q. Is this the fight of your life?

R. The fight of my life was Amanda Serrano, the undisputed champion in the division. This is a fight to say I’m here and I deserve another fight that will help us find out who the weight champion is. It’s an important fight because of how and where it happens, but it’s just another step towards my ultimate goal of being world champion. I have to do it and I see myself in shape for it.

Q. Your opponent has good KO power, with four finishes, how do you think the fight will go?

R. I know he’ll come with his energy because of his style, but I’m physically ready to execute what we want to do and the strategy we’ve prepared. If he wants to stop me he’s going to have to beat me to death, and that’s going to be difficult because I’m definitely up for a fight.

Jennifer Miranda after her pre-fight press conference.

Q. What does it mean to you to bring the title fight to Spain?

R. This is very important to me and my team at ‘The Boxer Club’. I am very proud of what we achieved and the WBA came to talk to us and we were able to bring this title. It is a legacy to my colleagues so that they know that with hard work and sacrifice they can achieve things. Even if it seems difficult at times, everything will come if you fight.

The difference in my situation is that I persisted and others did not.

Jennifer Miranda,

Q. What would your ideal roadmap look like?

R. Right now I’m only focused on Sunday’s fight and Amanda Serrano. We’ll see when that happens. With my role as an actress and my studies as well, I never stand still. I have decided this way since I joined the national team. I always reach my goals and stay focused on them. If you really want something, you have to manage and give everything to fulfill your dreams. For example, lately I have had to turn down several film projects due to my priorities.

You are learning to open a thousand doors, I am doing the same from the beginning to save my future. Maybe boxing doesn’t work, or maybe I can’t get better at boxing if I don’t train to work for the Olympic Committee. I advise everyone to have different challenges, races etc. Disappointed when others lost, I continued my studies. It fulfilled all my dreams very well. No trick, the difference in my situation is that I persisted and others didn’t. The trick is to find your life.

Q. How do you think boxing has developed in Spain over the last year?

R. It is advertised that there are more boxing schools and more children’s schools. It’s time so you must proceed as in everything. We have to keep fighting, there is still so much left to do. Here, and beyond. The way to fight is to earn titles and qualifications and show your ability to defeat anyone.
