Haney vs. Garcia 2 Rematch will be the biggest PPV fight in 2025 – Kenny Ellis

Trainer Kenny Ellis sees a rematch between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia as one of the biggest PPV fights in 2025 because of all the smoke from their fight earlier this year in April.

It doesn’t look like there will be a rematch between the two fighters without Haney dropping his lawsuit or losing. If he is victorious and wins a massive settlement, the chances of a rematch will evaporate.

Ryan would probably be bitter and didn’t want to chance – on a rematch, thinking that Haney could start another lawsuit if he loses again or even if he wins. Haney would probably make more money in a rematch than with his lawsuit, but obviously, he doesn’t see it that way.

It seems that he wants the money of the case, and thinks that he will always have the revenge. It could be wrong.

Ellis thinks fans will want to see how Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) will do against Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) when he’s “not on drugs.”

Ryan tested positive for Ostarine after his 12-time majority decision win over Haney on April 20. Haney has since started a lawsuit against Ryan due to his positive PED test for battery and fraud.

Ellis says he sees Haney’s decision to prosecute Garcia as similar to someone going to the police, and that’s not something they do in Baltimore.

“It’s like some police (stuff). In Baltimore, we don’t call the police, man. It is what it is. I think it’s a business for him,” trainer Kenny Ellis told FighthypeHe reacts to Devin Haney choosing to sue Ryan Garcia for his loss to him last April.

“I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s been done in the past. It’s not in the public like that,” Ellis said when asked if he’s ever heard of another fighter starting a lawsuit. after losing a fight.

“I can tell because of this situation, all this back and forth and all this smoke, next year that fight can be one of the biggest fights on PPV,” Ellis said about the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin rematch Haney.

Again, if Haney doesn’t drop the lawsuit, a rematch with Ryan probably won’t happen. It’s a shame because there would be a lot of interest from fans to see them fight again. Without that rematch, Haney’s situation is bleak.

Who can Haney really beat at 140 and 147 who has talent? I saw him lose to Liam Paro, Teofimo Lopez, Subriel Matias, Mario Barrios, Jaron Ennis, Eimantas Stanionis and Brian Norman Jr. The only guys Haney can probably beat are the ones with no power and limited skills.

“No, I don’t think he’s a fighter. He was hit with some clean shots. He went from the first round to the twelfth round, and he went on his shield,” said Ellis, reacting to the Ryan’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, saying that the Haney-Garcia rematch won’t happen because Haney is a “strike fighter”.

“He (Haney) will take about a year off and recover. I’ve seen fighters take worse beatings than that and refuse.

“The tank by itself will bring a bigger crowd, but because of the Devin Haney and Ryan situation, people want to see that rematch. They want to see Ryan do what he does when he’s not on drugs, in so-called drugs. I don’t think he was on drugs, but you know,” Ellis said when asked which fight he thought was bigger, a Gervonta Davis-Ryan rematch or a second Haney-Ryan fight.

There would be a lot of interest in a Tank vs. Garcia rematch, but it doesn’t seem likely to happen. Ryan is now a welterweight, and Tank expects him to melt down to 138.

Also, a 10lb rehydration clause would likely be something Kingry would need to agree to in order for a rematch with Gervonta to happen, and that’s not realistic. Ryan would look like a skeleton trying to make weight for a rematch with Tank. It’s too bad Tank requires weight stipulations for his important fights because it suggests he has no confidence in himself, and needs a handicap to help him win.
