Aaron Rodgers’ dominant play was already needed. LAfter the injury he suffered last year, it’s impressive that the Jets quarterback played as well as he did this Thursday And gave his team a 24-6 victory against the New England Patriots.

Rodgers was impressive: He completed 27 of 35 passes, threw for 281 yards, connected for two touchdown passes, added 18 rushing yards and missed a score this way. He fully understood himself with rookie Braylon Allen, and he did the same with the likes of Tyler Conklin and Allen Lazard.

The Jets’ dominance is huge and everything points to things changing a little bit in the American Conference East. The Patriots are no longer the great team of the Tom Brady era and everything is very mediocre with Jacoby Brissett at the controls.

Brissett had 98 yards, no touchdowns and was 12 of 18. His performance was so mediocre that he was relieved by rookie Drake May in the final quarter, and despite the best efforts of players like Antonio Gibson, Demario Douglas and Ramondre Stevenson, they couldn’t get up.

The Jets looked so superior that if it wasn’t a miracle, they would surely struggle in the American Conference.
