The first and oldest photography contest for iPhone is back, showcasing one more year of exceptional images from around the world. captured with Apple’s mobile phone.

From Buddhist students to tree-climbing leopards, this year’s winners of the 17th edition ofiPhone Photography Awards (IPPA Awards) are spectacular.

The contest, which began in 2007, has received nominations from more than 140 countries in many different categories, such as Animals, Portrait, Nature and Travel.

“Whether through the lens of a seasoned professional or a passionate amateur, these images remind us that every moment contains a story waiting to be told, and every story has the power to resonate deeply in the human spirit,” the Awards state. The impressive photograph of a child amazed by a huge sharktaken by American photographer Erin Brooks, won the Grand Prize.
