His performances, CDs and gadgets are helping to buy first aid kits for Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
While Ukraine remains immersed in the conflict Kursk and other battlefields, a choir based in the Czech Republic is helping to purchase essential products to support soldiers on the front lines.
The group is based in Litomil and is called ‘Sonjasnyk’, which in Spanish translates to “Sunflower”. Its members are both local and Ukrainian. They created the choir as a result of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russiain February 2022.
They have released a compact album titled ‘Still a Little While, Ukraine Hold Still a Little While’. He singer and composer Pavel Helan He says that with his music The choir wants to help a little more before this terrible war ends.
Since they started, They have raised more than 2 million Czech crownswhich is about 80,000 euros. The money raised is used to buy first aid kits and strapping.
They don’t just sell musicbut also t-shirts and gadgets with ukrainian theme. “We like it because we can support our homeland from abroad and it keeps hopes alive for our future victory,” says Iryna Daineka, a member of the Ukrainian choir. “I think this makes our victory closer,” she notes.
