“We continue to work intensively to reduce tensions in the Middle East and prevent the conflict from spreading,” declared US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The Secretary of State American, Antony Blinkendeclared that the ceasefire negotiations “have reached their final phase” and that the United States is working with Egypt and Qatar to conclude an agreement that will allow them to prevent new attacks in the Middle East.
“Everyone in the region must understand that more attacks will only they perpetuate the conflictinstability, insecurity for everyone, and more attacks only increase the risk of dangerous results that no one can predict and no one can fully control,” Blinken said Tuesday.
“It is urgent that everyone in the region take stock of the situation. Understand the risk of calculation error and make decisions that calm tensions, not that they exacerbate them. This is especially true given the decisive moment we find ourselves in in the negotiations of the ceasefire in Gaza.”

Blinken’s comments occurred after their meeting with the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd AustinAustralian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles in Annapolis, Maryland.
