Singer Taylor Swift says she is “completely shocked” after the death of two children who were attending a dance class inspired by her music in Southport (United Kingdom). Nine other people were injured and six remain in critical condition.
Following the news that two children died and nine other people were injured after a weapon attackblanca in Southport, a seaside town near Liverpool, during atheme dance of Taylor Swift, the singer has shared a message on Instagram about the deadly attack.
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continually and I am in complete shock,” he said. “The loss of life and innocence, and the horrible trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and the first responders. They were just some children in a dance class“. The message concluded: “I don’t know how to express my condolences to these families.”
The tragedy, which took place and el Hart Space de Hart Street on Monday, July 29, has been described by Southport MP Patrick Hurley as the “worst atrocity in living memory” in the area.
Hurley said: “The city is in mourning. The city is shocked. People know Southport, Southport is a quiet coastal town, a coastal resort. “This has shocked the entire community.”
Six of the injured they remain in critical condition. A 17-year-old boy from Banks (Lancashire), born in Cardiff (Wales), has been detained as suspect of murder and attempted murder.

After hearing the news of devastating attackUK Prime Minister Keir Starmer made a statement to the BBC: “I know the whole country is deeply shocked because of what he has seen and what he has heard.
“I know I speak for the entire country when I say that our thoughts and condolences “They are with the victims, their families, their friends and the community at large, and it is almost impossible to imagine the pain they are going through and the trauma they are suffering,” he said.
“I would like to thank the emergency services and Merseyside Police who have had to respond to the most difficult circumstances today,” he added.
He king charles also issued a statement on social networkswriting: “My wife and I have been deeply shocked to learn of the terrible incident that occurred today in Southport.”
