An Israeli airstrike in Gaza City against an aid center of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, killed at least eight people this Sunday.
According to the Qatari television channel ‘Al Jazeera‘, the Israeli airstrike hit the main gate of the UNRWA compound in the Gazan capital, a center used to distribute humanitarian aid throughout the Strip. Hundreds of people took refuge inside of the facilities at the time of the attack.
Netanyahu demands more weapons from the United States
On the other hand, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuredoubled his accusations on Sunday that his country’s main ally, the United States, was withholding arms supplies, highlighting what he said had been a “dramatic drop” in shipments.
The government of Joe Biden has delayed the delivery of certain heavy bombs since May for fear of high civilian casualties, but the US government last week rejected Netanyahu’s accusations that other shipments had also been affected.
Famine spreads in Gaza
And in the gazati city of Beit Lahiyatwo more babies have died from malnutritionwhich increases the number of dead from hunger and thirstto at least 31, according to health sources from the Kamal Adwan Hospital. The hospital has been targeted several times by the Israeli army until it was almost closed last December.
In its latest update, the Gaza Ministry of Health indicated that Israeli attacks have killed more than 37.550 personas in the Strip since October 7, many of them women y children.
These figures do not include the Palestinians Israel has killed in the West Bank militarily occupied. The UN Human Rights Chief, Volker Turk,has condemnedthe murder of more than 500 Palestinians at the hands of Israeli security forces and so-called settlers since October 7.
