Canelo Alvarez reveals the truth about Crawford’s career

Terence Crawford went to work today, reacting to Canelo Alvarez downplaying his record saying he’s only beaten a “good” one the opponent during his professional career of 17 years, Errol Spence, and this was after he had been in a terrible car accident in 2019.

Alvarez: “A good win”

Canelo seems to have mixed feelings about giving an unaccomplished and unproven fighter like Crawford a chance to fight. Terence never fought any of the assassins at 147 or 154.

It’s understandable for Alvarez to take a shot at Crawford, who has a resume that is barren of quality victories because it is the truth. It’s an example of how fighters can float through divisions, capture titles against weak opposition and then call up a popular fighter for cash-out purposes. There is a system for this. What Crawford did by winning four division titles is no different than what Adrien Broner did to accomplish the same feat.

Terence’s four-division world title win

– Israil Madrimov – 154
– Jeff Horn – 147
– Thomas Dulorme – 140
– Ricky Burns – 135

Canelo wouldn’t have a complaint with Crawford if he had at least done that, and that’s not asking much of him. King Canelo would be right in insisting that Crawford put his skin in the general population at 168 to mix with Benavidez, Morrell and Christian Mbilli.

The four-division Crawford was hurt by Canelo’s pointed truth, but all he could respond was that he had “always had the joy of doing” his opponents like “no one else.” But when they were no one when they fought, what does that say about Crawford?

Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) revealed the truth about Crawford’s career. He only fought one good fight, Spence, and that was after he was physically destroyed by his car accident in 2019. Once he came out of the victory over Errol, there is no one on Terence’s resume that you can call a good fight. They were either fired when Crawford fought them or B-level his entire career.

Crawford defends his legacy

“Lol, that’s crazy! So every fighter I’ve fought is not good, but one? Noticed! Remember what you said because I always had the joy of making someone look like no one,” said Terence Crawford in Xreacts to Canelo Alvarez saying he only beat “one good fighter” Errol Spence during his 17-year professional career.

“I respect Terence Crawford, but he only won a great fight. If you look at his record, he only beat a good fighter. Other than that, I don’t think he beat a great fighter like Spence,” said Canelo Alvarez in an interview with TMZ Sports.

Analyzing Crawford’s wins

– Israel Madrimov
– Errol Spence
– Shawn Porter
– Viktor Postol
– Jeff Horn
– Jose Benavidez Jr
“Kell Brook”.
– Amir Khan
– Ricky Burns
– Yuriorkis Gamboa

Turki Al-Sheikh has to tell Crawford that he has to beat these three fighters for him to earn the fight against Canelo:

  1. David Benavidez
  2. David Morrell
  3. Osley Iglesias

I’d be on board with Turki if he insisted Crawford run this little gauntlet to win over Canelo. golden parachute pension money. I mean, isn’t that how it’s done in the NFL and NBA? Play the best teams and go to the playoffs and championship games to earn the shot at the top prize. Crawford is trying to take a shortcut to gold, and I can’t respect that. It’s pathetic.
