80 countries agree that Ukraine’s territorial integrity is the immovable basis for peace

80 countries attending the Ukrainian peace summit held in Switzerland have agreed that this is the minimum limit required to be able to have a peace agreement, rejecting Putin’s proposal from last Friday.

No less than 80 countries made a joint call on Sunday for the Ukraine’s “territorial integrity” be the basis of any peace agreement that puts an end to the russian waralthough some key developing nations at a Swiss conference did not join.

The joint statement closed a two-day conference in the tourist resort of Burgenstock (Switzerland) marked by the absence of Russiawhat I was not invitedbut that many attendees hoped could be added to a roadmap to peace.

About a hundred delegations, mostly Western but also some developing countries, attended the conference, and experts were watching to see if they aligned with the final document.

Participants India, Saudi Arabia y United Arab Emirates were some of those who they did not sign the final documentfocused on issues of nuclear safety, food security, and prisoner exchange.
